Ceramic brake pads with cooling fins for NUTT calipers

The pair of ceramic brake pads features black backplates with tall cooling fins, a rectangular friction surface, and a hole for a safety pin. The fins increase surface area for heat dissipation, and a metal tension spring and cotter pin complete the set for one compatible NUTT brake caliper.

The outer contour of the backplate measures approximately 41.3 × 42.4 mm, with a maximum depth of 13.5 mm including the fins. Before replacing, check the clearance above the brake caliper, the shape of the old pad, and the position of the safety pin hole.

Brake compound

The ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. To ensure even contact with the brake disc, break in the new pair gradually after installation. Keep the pads clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface reduces braking performance.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect brake pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check your brake manual for the minimum permitted thickness.
• Remove the safety pin and the old pair. Follow the procedure for your specific brake caliper to prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel movement and lever operation. Break in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
