Ceramic pads with cooling fins for NUTT caliper

The pair of ceramic brake pads has black backing plates with tall cooling fins, a rectangular friction surface, and a hole for the retainer. The fins increase the surface area for heat dissipation, while the metal tension spring and split pin complete the set for one compatible NUTT caliper.

The outer contour of the backing plate measures approximately 41.3 × 42.4 mm, and the maximum depth with fins is 13.5 mm. Before replacement, check the clearance above the caliper, the shape of the old pad, and the position of the retainer hole.

Brake pad material

The ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. Bed in the new pair gradually after installation to ensure even contact with the disc. Keep the surface clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface reduces braking effect.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your specific caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel clearance and brake lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
