Smooth pull and proper adjustment

• Replace the cable if there is a frayed wire, corrosion, damaged housing, or sticking. Check that the brake lever and caliper mechanism return freely.
• Route the wire along the existing path, properly seat the ends of the housing, and adjust the tension at the caliper. Cut it only after verifying the length and finish with a crimp cap.
• Check for braking, free wheel rotation, and sufficient slack when turning the handlebar. Check the adjustment after initial use, as the cable can stretch.
