Front mechanical caliper for 160 mm disc

Mechanical front brake caliper for 160 mm disc

This black brake caliper is cable-actuated. The spring lever and adjustment component allow connection to a compatible mechanical brake system; a mounting adapter is included below.

Features and fitment

• Black mechanical cable brake caliper with mount; version for 160 mm front disc.

Approximate dimensions

• Caliper with adapter: 91 × 60 × 51 mm.
• Mounting hole spacing: 51 mm.
• Hole diameter: 4.8 mm.

Compare the mounting side and disc position; the specified 160 mm diameter applies when used with the appropriate mount.

Mechanical brake adjustment

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be adjusted correctly. Worn pads or a warped disc do not necessarily mean the caliper is faulty.
• Align it with the disc on the appropriate adapter, connect the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever travel according to the instructions. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
• The brake must engage before the lever touches the handlebar. Check the return of the mechanism, wheel free rotation, and perform a gradual bedding-in process for new pads.
