Dual friction area for compatible Magura caliper

Each black backing plate has two separate friction zones and an extended top tab. This design is intended for the compatible Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 caliper.

Before choosing, check the actual brake on the vehicle. The pads correspond to the stated caliper design even if upgraded appropriately, but they are not a direct automatic replacement for series brake pads of another brand.

Only for Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers with the corresponding pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake pad lining

The friction lining presses against the disc, and the backing plate holds it in the correct position in the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, also check the locking pin and wheel free spin.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads when braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or contamination occurs. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the locking pin and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, new pair, and locking pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel free spin and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
