When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads in case of poor braking, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the safety device and the old pair. Following the procedure for your specific caliper, prepare space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety device. Do not lubricate the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in new pads with several gradual slows in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
