Thicker 160 mm brake disc

The brake disc with a nominal diameter of 160 mm has six mounting holes, a perforated braking surface, and a thickness of approximately 2.8 mm. Six bolts are included.

• Measured diameter: 159 mm, nominal 160 mm.
• Thickness: 2.77 mm.
• Mounting bolt circle diameter (BCD): 45 mm.
• Hole spacing: 23 and 39 mm.
• Hole diameter: 6 mm.

A thicker disc requires a sufficiently wide slot in the caliper and permission from the brake manufacturer. Before selecting, check the bolt circle diameter and the space between the new pads; do not install the disc by forcibly spreading an incompatible caliper.

Changing and aligning the disc

• Replace the disc if there are cracks, permanent deformation, or wear below the minimum thickness. In case of rubbing, also check the caliper alignment first.
• Clean the hub mating surface and install the disc in the marked direction of rotation. Tighten the bolts gradually in a cross pattern to the specified torque.
• Keep the braking surface clean and free of grease. After assembly, check free rotation and braking performance; a new disc and pads require proper bedding-in.
