Rear mechanical caliper for 180 mm disc

The black rear mechanical disc brake caliper features a lever with a return spring and a cable adjustment mount. The adapter is marked F203/R180.

Approximate dimensions

• Caliper with adapter: 89 × 67 × 51 mm.
• Mounting hole spacing: 50 mm.
• Hole diameter: 5.2 mm.

For rear installation, the R180 configuration and correct alignment with the disc are important. The assembly measures approximately 89 × 67 × 51 mm. Replacement also requires adjusting pad clearance and lever throw.

Mechanical brake adjustment

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be adjusted properly. Worn pads or a bent disc do not necessarily mean the caliper is faulty.
• Align it with the disc on the appropriate adapter, attach the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever throw according to the instructions. Tighten bolts to the specified torque.
• The brake should engage before the lever touches the handlebar. Check for mechanism return, free wheel rotation, and gradual break-in of new pads.
