The 30 × 17 mm specification refers to the friction surface, not the overall outline. Before replacing, please check the installed caliper and the position of the mounting lugs, especially for vehicles with upgraded brakes.

Brake Compound

The semi-metallic compound combines metal particles and resin binder. The mixture represents a compromise between initial bite and heat load resistance. For consistent braking, a clean disc and gradual bedding-in of the new pair are important.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, or if there is uneven wear or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manufacturer's instructions.
• Remove the safety pin and the old pair. Prepare the space for the new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety pin. Do not lubricate friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and brake lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
