2.2 meters of mechanical brake cable

The 2.2 m inner brake cable has a barrel end at one side for the corresponding brake lever. The loose end allows for routing through the housing and attachment at the caliper.

Features and fitment

• Inner brake cable with barrel end; 2.2 m length.

Before replacement, check the shape of the end, the required wire diameter, and path length. The housing must be clear and free of sharp bends; a new cable will not fix friction in a damaged outer sleeve.

Smooth operation and correct adjustment

• Replace the cable if the wire is frayed, corroded, the housing is damaged, or if it is binding. Check that the brake lever and caliper mechanism return freely.
• Route the wire along the existing path, seat the housing ends properly, and adjust the tension at the caliper. Cut the wire only after checking the length and finish with a cable end cap.
• Check braking performance, wheel clearance, and verify sufficient slack when turning the handlebars. Re-check the adjustment after initial use, as the cable may settle.
