3-meter brake cable for longer routing

An inner brake cable with a 3 m length, featuring a cylindrical head for a compatible mechanical brake lever. The free end allows for routing along a longer path and length adjustment at the caliper.

Features and fitment

• 3 m inner brake cable with a cylindrical head.

Before cutting, route the cable through the entire housing and check handlebar rotation. Compare the size of the head and the diameter of the cable; secure the cut end against fraying after adjustment.

Smooth pull and proper adjustment

• Replace the cable if there is frayed wire, corrosion, a damaged housing, or sticking. Check that the brake lever and caliper mechanism return freely.
• Route the cable along the existing path, correctly seat the housing ends, and adjust the tension at the caliper. Only cut the cable after checking the length and finish with an end cap.
• Check braking, free wheel rotation, and ensure there is enough slack for handlebar rotation. After initial use, re-check the adjustment as the routing may settle.
