Preventing flat tires

The most common cause of "flat tires" is riding with incorrect tire pressure. Most electric scooters require at least 3.5 bar, which should be regularly checked with a pressure gauge – ideally once a week.

Riding with incorrect tire pressure can cause:

• Tube damage and punctures
• Tire wear from both the inside and the outside
• Poor grip and increased risk of slipping
• Longer braking distances
• Poor riding performance

Service information

The tire should be replaced as soon as you notice signs of poor performance, reduced grip, vibration, or visible wear. With normal use, replacement is recommended every 1,000 – 2,000 km.

Visible signs of tire wear that require replacement

Outside: Smooth tread, signs of burning, or holes. Regular riding causes normal wear; tricks or aggressive braking accelerate it.
Inside: Separation of the wire structure, often due to riding with incorrect tire pressure.

Unprofessional replacement of tubes or tires can cause:

• Motor cable damage
• Motor frame damage
• Sharp cuts on the rim
• Damage to the tire and new tube

If you have a "flat tire" or a worn tire on your electric scooter, it is necessary to check the condition of both the tube and the tire during replacement, as incorrect pressure often damages both. In a scooter with a damaged tire, a new tube will have a very limited lifespan.
