Choosing a high-quality, suitable tire is crucial for safe riding and getting the most out of your electric scooter.

Preventing flat tires

The most common cause of "flat tires" is riding with incorrect inner tube pressure. Most electric scooters require at least 3.5 bar, which should be checked regularly with a pressure gauge – ideally once a week.

Riding with improper pressure in the inner tube can cause:

• Inner tube damage and punctures
• Tire wear from both inside and outside
• Poor grip and increased risk of slipping
• Longer braking distances
• Poor riding characteristics

Service information

The tire should be replaced as soon as you notice signs of poor performance, reduced grip, vibration, or visible wear. With normal use, replacement is recommended every 1,000 – 2,000 km.

Visible signs of tire wear requiring replacement

Outer side: Flattened tread, signs of burning, or holes. Regular riding causes normal wear; tricks or aggressive braking accelerate it.
Inner side: Separation of the wire structure, often due to riding with incorrect tire pressure.

Unprofessional replacement of inner tubes or tires can cause:

• Damage to the motor cable
• Damage to the motor housing
• Sharp cuts on the rim
• Damage to the tire and new inner tube

If you have a "flat tire" or a worn-out tire on your electric scooter, it is necessary to check the condition of both the inner tube and the tire during replacement, as incorrect pressure often damages both. In a scooter with a damaged tire, a new inner tube will have a very limited lifespan.
