Before replacement, compare the connector and wiring layout; install the switch so that the markings are clearly visible and the button is reachable with a standard handlebar grip.

Replacement and functional test

• Disconnect the vehicle power supply before replacement. Note the connection and install the new switch in the same intended location without pinching the wiring.
• Check that the turn signal button moves without sticking and that the connector is properly latched. The handlebar must rotate without straining the cable.
• Before riding, test the left and right turn signals separately. If contact is interrupted, also inspect the connector and wiring, as the fault may not necessarily be in the switch itself.
