Before replacement, compare the connector and wire layout; mount the switch so the markings are clearly visible and the button is accessible when gripping the handlebar normally.

Replacement and functional testing

• Disconnect the vehicle's power before replacement. Note the connection and install the new switch in the intended location without compressing the wiring.
• Verify that the turn signal button moves without sticking and the connector is properly engaged. The handlebar must turn without straining the cable.
• Before riding, test the left and right turn signals separately. If there is a connection issue, check the connector and wiring, as the fault may not necessarily be in the switch itself.
