Compare the outline of the removed pad and the caliper designation. For a vehicle with an upgraded brake, the installed Xtech unit is crucial, as the stock brake may use a different pair. Spring and retaining split pin included.

Valid when upgrading to a compatible Xtech HB100 caliper. Not an automatic replacement for original pads on all versions of this model.

Brake pad material

The ULIP Superior Metal multi-metallic compound combines metallic ingredients and a binder. Metallic pads generally handle heat well during repeated braking, but they can be noisier and wear the disc more than organic pads. Use a disc rotor compatible with metallic pads, and bed in the new pair properly after installation.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking is poor, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check the wheel's free rotation and brake lever function. Bed in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
