Brake compound

The full-metal compound is suitable for a compatible disc that allows metal pads. It handles higher heat loads well, but can be louder than organic pads and causes more disc wear. After adjusting the brake, properly bed in the new pair.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Follow the procedure for your specific caliper to prepare the space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check the wheel's free rotation and brake lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
