The inner wire of this rear brake cable measures approximately 203 cm, and the black outer housing is 188.5 cm. It is designed to transfer the pull from the mechanical brake lever to the rear caliper.

The housing should follow the existing path without sharp bends and must not restrict handlebar rotation. Also compare the cylindrical head and the inner wire diameter, which is approximately 1.5 mm.

Smooth pull and proper adjustment

• Replace the cable if the wire is frayed, corroded, the housing is damaged, or if it is sticking. Check that the brake lever and caliper mechanism return freely.
• Route the wire along the existing path, properly seat the housing ends, and adjust the tension at the caliper. Cut the wire only after checking the length and secure it with a cable end cap.
• Check braking, free wheel rotation, and enough slack for handlebar rotation. Check the adjustment after initial use, as the cable system may settle.
