The ULIP Sintered pair has bronze-colored backplates, a wide friction surface, and upper mounting tabs. The overall outline of the pad measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, and the thickness is 4.1 mm.

The hole for the safety device has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper code and the shape of existing pads, especially for bikes with different equipment model years.

Brake lining

Sintered metal lining generally handles heating and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic, it can be noisier and wear down the disc more. Use a disc that allows metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of poor braking, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake instructions.
• Remove the safety device and the old pair. According to the procedure for your caliper, prepare the space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety device. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe place, without locking the wheel.
