Green ceramic pads in the wide ZOOM shape

The wide green backing plates have rectangular friction pads and an upper retaining tab. The pair of ceramic pads comes with a separator spring and split pin.

Before replacement, compare the pad width and height, mounting tab and retainer position. Install the ceramic pair with the appropriate separator spring and bed it in after adjusting the brake.

Only for the installed brake caliper using the ZOOM pad shape specified for this product. Always compare the old pad before choosing; the same vehicle model may have a different caliper fitted.

Brake pad material

The ceramic compound forms the pads' friction surface. After installation, bed the new pair in gradually to ensure even contact with the disc. Keep the friction material clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface reduces braking performance.

When to replace and how to get started

• Inspect the pads if braking performance deteriorates or if there is uneven wear or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake instructions for the minimum permitted thickness.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Following the procedure for your caliper, make room for the new pads, then insert the spring, new pair and retainer. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check that the wheel rotates freely and the lever works correctly. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe place, without locking the wheel.
