The wide green mounts have a rectangular friction lining and a top ear for a retaining pin. The pair of ceramic pads is complemented by a spreader spring and a cotter pin.

Before replacing, compare the width and height of the pad, the mounting ear, and the position of the retainer. Install the ceramic pair with the appropriate spreader spring and run them in after adjusting the brake.

Only for installed brake calipers with the ZOOM pad shape specified for this product. Before choosing, you must compare the old pad; the same vehicle model may be equipped with a different caliper.

Brake lining

The ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. To ensure even contact with the disc, run in the new pair gradually after installation. Keep the lining clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface reduces braking effectiveness.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads for reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Follow the procedure for your caliper to clear space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check the wheel for free rotation and test the lever operation. Run in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
