Wide green backing plates feature a rectangular friction surface and an upper mounting tab for the retainer. The pair of ceramic pads is completed by a spreader spring and a split pin.

Before replacement, compare the width and height of the pad, the mounting tab, and the position of the retainer. Install the ceramic pair with the appropriate spreader spring and bed them in after adjusting the brake.

Only for an installed brake caliper with the ZOOM pad shape specified for this product. Be sure to compare with the old pad before selecting; the same vehicle model may be equipped with a different caliper.

Brake pad material

The ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. Bed in the new pair gradually after installation for even contact with the disc. Keep the pads clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface reduces braking performance.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manual for the minimum allowable thickness.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease friction surfaces.
• Check for wheel clearance and lever operation. Bed in the new pads by performing several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
