Brake compound

The ceramic compound forms the pad's friction surface. For even contact with the disc, gradually break in a new pair after installation. Keep the surface clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface will reduce braking performance.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake instructions.
• Remove the retaining pin and the old pair. After following the procedure for your caliper, clear space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the pin. Do not grease friction surfaces.
• Check the free rotation of the wheel and the operation of the lever. Break in the new pads with several gradual slowdowns in a safe place, without locking the wheel.
