Wide green backplates have a rectangular friction surface and a top tab for the safety device. The pair of ceramic pads is complemented by a separation spring and split pin.

Before replacing, compare the pad width and height, the mounting tab, and the position of the safety device. Install the ceramic pair with the appropriate separation spring and break them in after adjusting the brake.

Only for the installed brake caliper with the ZOOM pad shape specified for this product. Before selecting, be sure to compare the old pad; the same vehicle model may be equipped with a different caliper.

Brake pad material

A ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. For even contact with the disc, break in the new pair gradually after installation. Keep the pad clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface will reduce braking performance.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the safety device and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety device. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel clearance and lever operation. Break in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area without locking the wheel.
