The wide green backplates feature a rectangular friction surface and an upper lug for the locking pin. A pair of ceramic pads is completed with a spacer spring and a cotter pin.

Before replacing, compare the pad width and height, mounting lug, and the position of the locking pin. Install the ceramic pair with the appropriate spacer spring and bed them in after adjusting the brake.

Only for installed brake calipers with the ZOOM pad shape specified for this product. You must compare the old pad before choosing; the same vehicle model may be equipped with a different caliper.

Brake compound

The ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. For even contact with the disc, gradually bed in the new pair after installation. Keep the surface clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface will reduce braking performance.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check your brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the locking pin and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the locking pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads by performing several gradual stops in a safe area without locking the wheel.
