Chaoyang inner tube for widths from 4.0 to 4.9

Chaoyang 20 × 4.0/4.9 is an inner tube for corresponding wide 20-inch tires. The black rubber version has a straight valve approximately 32 mm long.

The 4.0/4.9 range indicates the tire widths for which it is intended. Also check the type and height of the valve; after installation, it must be accessible for a pump and straight relative to the rim opening.

Replacement without pinching the tube

  • Before replacing, find the cause of the puncture in the tire or on the rim. A foreign object, sharp edge, or damaged rim tape can immediately damage the new inner tube as well.
  • Inflate the inner tube slightly, align the valve with the opening, and distribute it evenly inside the tire. When installing the edge, do not pinch it with mounting tools.
  • Inflate to the pressure allowed for the wheel assembly. Check the position of the valve and sealing; do not use the valve cap to stop leaks.
