Superior Metal in wide ZOOM shape

ULIP Superior Metal brake pads feature an orange backplate, wide rectangular lining, and an upper mounting ear. The semi-metallic design is supplied as a pair with a spreader spring and cotter pin.

Only for installed brake calipers with the ZOOM pad shape specified for this product. Before selecting, be sure to compare the old pad; the same vehicle model may be equipped with a different caliper.

Brake lining

The ULIP Superior Metal semi-metallic lining combines metallic components and binders. Metallic pads generally handle heat well during repetitive braking, but may be louder and cause more disk wear than organic ones. Use a disk compatible with metallic pads, and bed in the new pair properly after installation.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they become contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the manufacturer's manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
  • Remove the retaining pin and the old pair. Prepare the space for the new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining pin. Do not apply grease to the friction surfaces.
  • Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
