The ULIP Sintered pair features bronze-colored backing plates, a wide friction surface, and upper mounting tabs. The overall dimensions of the pad are approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The locking pin hole is approximately 3.4 mm in diameter; a spring and split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of existing pads, especially for bicycles with different model years of equipment.

Compatibility condition: equipped with Shimano BR-MT420 caliper. Also compare with the shape of D01S/D02S/D03S family pads.

Position: front only. The rear brake uses a different pad design.

Brake compound

Sintered metal compound generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be louder and cause more disc wear. Use a brake disc compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads in case of poor braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the retaining pin and the old pair. Following the procedure for your specific caliper, clear space for the new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the pin. Do not grease friction surfaces.
• Check for wheel clearance and brake lever operation. Bed in new pads with multiple gradual stops in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
