The ULIP Sintered pair has bronze-colored carriers, a wide friction pad, and upper mounting tabs. The entire outline of the pad measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The opening for the retainer has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and cotter pin are included. Before choosing, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of existing pads, especially on bikes with different equipment years.

Compatibility condition: installed Shimano BR-MT420 caliper. Also compare the shape of D01S/D02S/D03S family pads.

Brake compound

A sintered metallic compound generally handles heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they may be louder and cause more disc wear. Use a disc that is compatible with metallic pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, or if there is uneven wear or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manufacturer's manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your specific caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
