Brake pad material

The ULIP Superior Metal multi-metal lining combines metallic components and a binder. Metallic linings generally handle heat well during repeated braking, but they can be louder and cause more disc wear than organic ones. Use a disc compatible with metal linings and bed in the new pair properly after installation.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they become contaminated. Always replace both pads in the same caliper; check your brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the safety clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
