Superior Metal in wide ZOOM shape

ULIP Superior Metal brake pads feature an orange backplate, a wide rectangular braking surface, and a top mounting tab. This semi-metallic set is supplied as a pair with a retaining spring and cotter pin.

Only for installed brake calipers using the ZOOM pad shape specified with this product. Always compare with your old pad before selection; the same vehicle model may be equipped with a different caliper.

Brake compound

The ULIP Superior Metal semi-metallic compound combines metal components and a binder. Metallic pads generally handle heat well during repetitive braking, but they may be noisier and cause more disc wear than organic ones. Use a disc compatible with metallic pads and bed in the new pair properly after installation.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if braking performance drops, wear is uneven, or they become contaminated. Always replace both pads in the same caliper; check your brake manual for the minimum permitted thickness.
  • Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare the space for the new pads according to your specific brake model, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not lubricate the friction surfaces.
  • Check that the wheel spins freely and the lever operates correctly. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
