Install the adapter in the appropriate position relative to the brake side and disc diameter. Compare both mounting distances and ensure that the pads are flush with the braking surface of the disc.

Adjusting the mechanical brake

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be adjusted properly. Worn pads or a bent disc do not necessarily mean the caliper is faulty.
• Align it with the disc on the appropriate adapter, connect the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever travel according to the instructions. Tighten the bolts to the prescribed torque.
• The brake should engage before the lever touches the handlebar. Check for mechanism return, free wheel rotation, and gradual bedding-in of new pads.
