Dual friction zone for compatible Magura calipers

Each black backing plate features two separate friction zones and an extended top tab. This design is intended for compatible Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers.

Verify the actual brake on the vehicle before selecting. The pads fit the specified caliper design even after appropriate upgrades, but they are not an automatic replacement for pads of a stock brake from a different brand.

Only for Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers with compatible pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake pad liner

The friction material presses against the disc, while the backing plate holds it in the correct position within the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, also check the retaining clip and ensure the wheel spins freely.

When to replace and how to get started

• Inspect the pads if braking performance decreases, uneven wear occurs, or if there is contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check your brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Following the procedure for your specific caliper, prepare the space for new pads, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check that the wheel spins freely and verify brake lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area without locking the wheel.
