Dual friction area for compatible Magura caliper

Each black backing plate has two separate friction areas and an extended upper tab. This shape is designed for the corresponding Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 caliper.

Check the actual brake on your vehicle before choosing. These pads match the indicated caliper shape even for appropriate upgrades, but they are not an automatic replacement for pads from a different brand's stock brake system.

For Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers only with the appropriate pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake lining

The friction lining presses against the disc, while the carrier holds it in the correct position within the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, also check the retaining pin and free rotation of the wheel.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retaining pin and the old pair. Prepare space for the new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining pin. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and lever function. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location without locking the wheel.
