Dual friction area for compatible Magura calipers

Each black backing plate features two separate friction areas and an extended top tab. This design is intended for the compatible Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers.

  • Black backing plates with two separate lining areas on each.
  • Design for Magura MT5/MT7.

Before choosing, check the actual brake on your vehicle. The pads fit the specified caliper shape, including relevant upgrades, but are not an automatic replacement for pads from other stock brake brands.

Only for Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers with the corresponding pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake pad

The friction material presses against the disc, and the carrier holds it in the correct position within the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, also check the retainer pin and wheel clearance.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
  • Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease friction surfaces.
  • Check wheel clearance and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
