Dual friction area for compatible Magura caliper

Each black backing plate features two separate friction areas and an extended top tab. This design is intended for the compatible Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 caliper.

Features and fitment

  • Model: Stevens E-Triton 45 Gent.
  • Black backing plates with two separate lining surfaces on each.
  • Shape for Magura MT5/MT7.

Check the actual brake on your vehicle before choosing. The pads fit the indicated caliper shape even during a suitable upgrade, but are not an automatic replacement for pads of a serial brake of another brand.

Only for Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 caliper with the appropriate pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake pad lining

The friction lining presses against the disc, while the backing plate holds it in the correct position in the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, also check the safety clip and free wheel rotation.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if braking is poor, uneven wear is present, or contamination is suspected. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
  • Remove the safety clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your caliper, then insert the spring, new pair, and safety clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
  • Check free wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
