Dual friction area for compatible Magura caliper

Each black backing plate features two separate friction areas and an extended upper tab. This design is intended for the compatible Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 caliper.

Features and fitment

  • Model: Stevens E-Triton 45.
  • Black backing plates with two separate friction surfaces each.
  • Design for Magura MT5/MT7.

Before selecting, check the actual brake on the vehicle. These pads match the specified caliper design, even after appropriate upgrades, but they are not a direct drop-in replacement for stock pads of other brands.

Only for Magura MT5, MT5e, or MT7 calipers with the corresponding pad shape. If the vehicle has a different caliper, these pads are not a direct replacement.

Brake pad

The friction material presses against the disc, and the backing plate holds it in the correct position within the caliper. Replace both pads together if they are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. During installation, check the pad retaining clip and wheel rotation.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect the pads if you experience poor braking, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manual for the minimum allowed thickness.
  • Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to the procedure for your specific caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
  • Check the wheel rotation and brake lever operation. Bed in new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
