Smooth pull and proper adjustment

• Replace the cable if there is fraying, corrosion, damaged housing, or sticking. Check that the brake lever and caliper mechanism return freely.
• Route the cable along the existing path, properly seat the housing ends, and adjust the tension at the caliper. Only cut the cable after verifying length, and finish it with a cap.
• Check braking, free wheel rotation, and ensure there is enough slack when turning the handlebars. After initial use, recheck the adjustment, as the cable can settle.
