The full-metal compound is suitable for a compatible disc that allows metal pads. It handles higher thermal loads well, though it can be noisier and cause more disc wear compared to organic pads. After adjusting the brake, gradually bed in the new pair.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads in case of reduced braking performance, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in the brake manual.
• Remove the retaining clip and the old pair. Prepare space for the new pads according to the procedure for your specific caliper, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retaining clip. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
• Check for free wheel rotation and brake lever function. Bed in the new pads with several gradual decelerations in a safe location, without locking the wheel.
