Brake pad

Ceramic compound forms the friction surface of the pads. Bed in the new pair gradually after installation for even contact with the disc. Keep the pad clean and dry; oil or grease on the friction surface will reduce braking performance.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect the pads if you notice decreased braking power, uneven wear, or contamination. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum allowed thickness in your brake manual.
• Follow the mechanical caliper instructions to remove the old pair and release the adjustment for new pads. Install both pads and the separation spring, then adjust the clearance at the disc. Do not grease friction surfaces.
• Check wheel rotation and lever operation. Bed in the new pads with several gradual slows in a safe area without locking the wheels.
