Replacement and bedding-in

• Replace the pair if the compound is worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. Check the state of the disc and the minimum allowed pad thickness according to the brake instructions.
• Remove the safety pin and old pads. After the caliper service procedure, prepare space for the new pair, install the pads with the appropriate spring, and re-secure the mounting. Do not touch the friction surfaces with greasy hands.
• Adjust the caliper position or pad spacing. Check the lever response and free wheel rotation, then bed in the brakes with several gradual decelerations on a safe surface.
