Adjusting the mechanical brake

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be adjusted properly. Worn pads or a warped disc do not necessarily mean the caliper is faulty.
• Align it with the disc using the appropriate adapter, attach the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever pull according to the instructions. Tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.
• The brake should engage before the lever touches the handlebar. Check the mechanism's return, wheel free play, and break in the new pads gradually.
