Brake compound

The ULIP Superior Metal multi-metallic compound is suitable for repeated braking and heat dissipation. Metallic pads can be harder on the disc and noisier than organic ones, so ensure your disc is compatible with this compound. A new pair requires proper bedding-in for even contact with the disc.

Replacement and bedding-in

• Replace the pair when the pads are worn, damaged, or contaminated with oil. Also, check the condition of the disc and the minimum allowable pad thickness according to the brake manufacturer's instructions.
• Remove the safety pin and the old pads. Prepare the caliper space after servicing, install the new pads with the appropriate spring, and secure them. Do not touch the friction surfaces with oily hands.
• Adjust the caliper position or pad clearance. Check the lever response and free wheel rotation, then bed in the brakes by performing multiple gradual stops on a safe surface.
