Orange front mechanical disc brake caliper

The front brake caliper has an orange housing, cable tension adjuster, and a black F180/R160 adapter. The mechanical pull moves the spring lever on top of the caliper.

Approximate dimensions

• Caliper: 101 × 70 × 50 mm.
• Mounting hole spacing: 51 mm.
• Diameter of marked mounting hole: 4.7 mm.

During installation, check the front position of the adapter, the intended disc diameter, and the cable entry direction.

Adjusting the mechanical brake

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be adjusted correctly. Worn pads or a bent disc do not necessarily mean caliper failure.
• Align it with the disc on the appropriate adapter, connect the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever travel according to the instructions. Tighten the bolts to the prescribed torque.
• The brake must engage before the lever touches the handlebar. Check the mechanism return, free wheel rotation, and gradual bedding-in of new pads.
