The rear mechanical caliper combines an orange housing, a return spring, and a black F180/R160 adapter. It is intended to replace the corresponding rear brake assembly.

The dimensions are approximately 99 × 69 × 50 mm, and the spacing of the marked mounting points is 51 mm. Compare the cable routing direction and adapter position with the old part, and readjust the brake after installation.

Adjusting the mechanical brake

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be adjusted properly. Worn pads or a warped disc do not necessarily mean the caliper is faulty.
• Align it with the disc on the appropriate adapter, attach the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever throw according to the instructions. Tighten the bolts to the prescribed torque.
• The brake must engage before the lever touches the handlebars. Check the mechanism return, free wheel movement, and gradual bedding-in of new pads.
