Adjusting the mechanical brake

• Replace the caliper if it is damaged or if its mechanism cannot be properly adjusted. Worn pads or a bent disc do not necessarily mean the caliper is faulty.
• Align it with the disc on the appropriate adapter, attach the cable, and adjust the pad position and lever travel according to the instructions. Tighten the screws to the specified torque.
• The brake must engage before the lever touches the handlebar. Check the return of the mechanism, free wheel rotation, and the gradual bedding-in of the new pads.
