Steering assembly refurbishment

• Check for play or sticking together with adjustments and contact surfaces. Replace a damaged bearing without striking the rolling elements.
• Clean the housing and assemble the parts in the correct order. Transfer force during insertion to the ring that fits the seat and follow prescribed lubrication.
• After adjustment, check for smooth steering rotation and absence of play. Over-tightening does not fix a worn bearing.
