The retaining pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different model years.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wet conditions well. Compared to organic pads, they may be noisier and cause more disc wear. Ensure your disc is compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

• Inspect pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the brake manual for the minimum allowable thickness.
• Remove the retainer and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the retainer. Do not grease friction surfaces.
• Check for wheel clearance and lever operation. Bed in the new pads by performing several gradual decelerations in a safe area, without locking the wheel.
