Headset bearing kit with mating parts

The set contains two bearings with red seals and the corresponding black seats and split rings. It is intended for restoring the appropriate upper and lower steering assembly.

Approximate dimensions

• Bearing: inner diameter 30.2 mm, outer diameter 41 mm, height 6.5 mm.
• Seat: inner diameter 34.2 mm, outer diameter 49.6 mm, height 10 mm.
• Split ring: inner diameter 30 mm, outer diameter 39.9 mm, height 4.2 mm.

Individual bearing measures approximately 30.2 × 41 × 6.5 mm. Before dismantling, take note of the order of the parts; an incorrectly oriented ring can cause play or a binding handlebar even with new bearings.

Steering assembly restoration

• Check for play or binding first along with the adjustment and contact surfaces. Replace a damaged bearing without striking the rolling parts.
• Clean the seat and assemble the parts in the correct order. Apply force during insertion to the ring that fits the seat and observe the prescribed lubrication.
• After adjustment, check for smooth steering and the absence of play. Overtightening will not fix a worn bearing.
