Wide ULIP sintered pads with ZEE M640 shape

The ULIP Sintered pair features bronze-colored backplates, a wide friction surface, and top mounting tabs. The overall pad profile measures approximately 39.4 × 24.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.1 mm.

The safety pin hole has a diameter of approximately 3.4 mm; a spring and split pin are included. Before selecting, compare the exact caliper designation and the shape of your existing pads, especially for bikes with different model-year components.

Compatibility condition: Shimano BR-MT420 caliper installed. Also, compare with the shape of D01S/D02S/D03S family pads.

Brake pad material

Sintered metal pads generally handle heat and wear well in wet conditions. Compared to organic pads, they can be louder and cause more disc wear. Only use with discs compatible with metal pads.

When to replace and how to start

  • Inspect pads if braking performance decreases, wear is uneven, or they are contaminated. Replace both pads in the same caliper; check the minimum thickness in the brake manual.
  • Remove the safety device and the old pair. Prepare the space for new pads according to your caliper's procedure, then insert the spring, the new pair, and the safety device. Do not grease the friction surfaces.
  • Check wheel clearance and lever operation. Break in the new pads with several gradual stops in a safe area without locking the wheel.
